Who we are

  • Berg-en-Dal Fresh Farm Flowers (operated by Hill and Dale Nursery), G32 Berg en Dal Kwekery, R104 Old Rustenburg Road, Brits, North West, South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your order details: flowers, quantities, collection date and time slot, and any notes you add.
  • Payment status. Card and bank details are entered directly on our payment providers' secure pages (Payfast, Ozow) — we never see or store them.
  • Your basket is kept only in your own browser until you check out.

Why we use it

  • To process, confirm and prepare your order.
  • To contact you about payment, collection, rescheduling, or a variety swap.
  • To keep financial records as required by South African tax law.
  • We do not sell your information and do not send marketing without your separate consent.

Who we share it with

  • Payment providers (Payfast, Ozow) to process your payment.
  • Our secure hosting and database providers, who store it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. Some of these services may store data outside South Africa, in countries with adequate data-protection laws.
  • Authorities only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Order records are kept for up to 5 years for tax and accounting purposes, then securely deleted.

How we protect it

  • Encrypted connections, restricted access to order records, and no storage of card or banking credentials.

Your rights

  • You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its processing.
